Meet Marly

Set in 1983 Marly, a refugee from Vietnam, feels different in her Australian school. In time, her cousins join the same school and they are treated poorly by other students.
Marly needs to figure out how to be loyal and kind to her cousins and maintain her friendships at the same time. This is a historical fiction example highlighting prejudice and morals that children aged 6-12 can gather perspective from.
