Inside Out and Back Again

In one year, Ha’s life changes dramatically when she flees Vietnam during the war. The reader witnesses’ elements of Ha’s grief, combined with longing for her home in Saigon, and hope for her life in America.
There is an activity that children aged 9-12 can do with their guardians or teachers. Through this work, viewpoints may widen on topics such as 20th Century history, geography, Asia, The United States, new experiences, war, and culture.
