The inquiry into the Recent Allegations relating to Conditions and Circumstances at the Regional Processing Centre in Nauru (April 2015)
On 26 March 2015, the Senate resolved to establish the Select Committee on the Recent Allegations relating to Conditions and Circumstances at the Regional Processing Centre in Nauru to inquire into and report by 15 June 2015 on the responsibilities of the Commonwealth Government in connection with the management and operation of the Regional Processing Centre in Nauru. The Committee reported on 31 August 2015. This submission outlines our profound concerns about the recent allegations in the Nauru offshore processing centre.
Submission to the inquiry into the Migration Amendment (Maintaining the Good Order of Immigration Detention Facilities) Bill 2015 (April 2015)
On 3 March 2015, the Senate referred the Migration Amendment (Maintaining the Good Order of Immigration Detention Facilities) Bill 2015 to the Legal and Constitutional Affairs Legislation Committee for inquiry and report. In April 2015, Refugee Council of Australia made a submission regarding that Bill.
