Spring 2025

We are experiencing a time of change and unprecedented need. In this edition of Your Voice, read how we’re pushing Australia to become a global leader in refugee resettlement.
In June, we led a delegation to the world’s largest refugee camp near Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Bearing witness to the dire conditions faced by the 1.1 million Rohingya who live there and bringing those accounts to the world is critical. We’re privileged to be able to share these stories.
We once again represented Australia at the annual Consultations on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways (CRCP) in Geneva. The global gathering focused on the sharp decline in global resettlement, and acknowledged that Australia’s potential to step up a global resettlement leader is more crucial than ever.
We’ve also had so much to celebrate, from the reunion of families in Canada through Operation #NotForgotten to the issuing of Australia’s millionth permanent refugee visa.
Amid the highs and the lows, we will continue to advocate for Australia to become a key player in international solutions and, here at home, keep pushing for policy that treats people seeking asylum with fairness and justice.
We are so grateful to have you walk with us towards an Australia that is more welcoming to all. Thank you for being part of real change.
