Velvy Holden

Velvy Holden was co-founder of the Australian National Committee on Refugee Women and became the Executive Director of ANCORW.

She has worked with refugee women for 35 years in South East Asia and Australia and been part of the United Nations High Commissioner’s meetings considering issues pertaining to women who are refugees.

Since retirement she has continued her involvement as the Chairperson of the Cultural Diversity Working Group of the City of Onkaparinga in South Australia.
