Esther Nima Sung

Esther Nima Sung is from Myanmar and of Zotung Chin ethnicity.  Esther spent five years in Malaysia (from 2008 t0 2013) and was then resettled in Melbourne, Australia in 2013.

Esther has completed a Diploma in Community Development and is currently finishing the final year of Bachelor in Community Development at Victoria University. Esther has worked as an interpreter at International Rescue Committee(IRC) in Malaysia for 2 years. This work included working with refugees who applied to resettle in the United State of America. Esther is currently working as a youth worker at Phoenix Youth Centre, as well as a part-time administration office at MiCare (formerly known as the New Hope Foundation).

Esther also holds the volunteer position as the President of the Chin Youth Organisation (CYO) and has participated as a youth leader in Zotung Community for the past five years.
