SPK Housing Cooperative

SPK is a housing cooperative established by the Hmong community in 1991. The Hmong community members were humanitarian entrants who came to Australia from Laos.

Living in Between

Living in Between – a Students Against Racism schools presentation by refugees and migrants in Victoria and Tasmania to explain the refugee journey.

First Home Project

First Home Project - this project provides medium-term affordable accommodation to recently-arrived families from refugee backgrounds until they settle and accumulate a rental history.

Work and Welcome – an employment program that provides refugees and migrants with paid work experience funded through a workplace giving scheme.

Spoken English Classes - assists new arrivals gain confidence speaking English and provides work experience opportunities for volunteer facilitators.
