Career development for EAL Learners

This resource is provided by AMES Australia, an organisation that helps new and recently arrived refugees and migrants to settle in to Victoria.

Career Development Skills for CALD Learners Kit is a free kit to support the delivery of an integrated career development program to adult EAL students at a pre-intermediate level of English in conjunction with their English language program. The kit has been developed to assist EAL students to

  • develop language skills, knowledge and capabilities for career development pathway planning
  • explore future directions through a range of targeted activities
  • develop short and long term pathways plans to work or further study
  • identify obstacles to achieving these plans.
