WHO WE ARE

Sources of income

A small not-for-profit organisation and registered charity, the Refugee Council of Australia (RCOA) relies on support from a diverse range of sources to maintain its work.

In 2008-09, our income ($468,376) came from:

Grants from non-government sources 33%
Federal Government contracts 21%
State Government grants 18%
Public donations 9%
Training and consultancies 7%
Membership fees 7%

In the three previous years, the Australian Refugee Foundation provided the single largest source of income - 35% of total income in 2007-08, 28% in 2006-07 and 55% in 2005-06.
